Jim
Turi Rick Savage (Bass/Vocals)
Jim began his journey into music as a left
handed acoustic guitar player at the early age 10. After forming his first
garage band, he decided to switch to playing right handed bass: a good
decision indeed. Jim confirmed his destiny to be a musician after seeing
Aerosmith at MSG. Growing up John Paul Jones, John Entwhistle, Chris Squire
were his idols. As a matter of fact his first bass was a white Rickenbacher
to emulate Chris Squire. Jim was also influenced by bands such as Led
Zeppelin, Yes, Genesis, The Who, and Pink Floyd. He was in an original
project called Daggar, that played San Juan Puerto Rico opening for Ronnie
Montrose. Cover projects included Fatbone and Drive. Jim is a solid rock

Vik K Joe Elliot (Lead Vocals)
Vik is a multi-instrumentalist with his roots firmly grounded in hard rock and metal. He started playing drums and eventually went on to play guitar and bass. He's played with a few local 80's metal bands in the tri-state area. Largely influenced by such British metal invasion artist such as Elliot, Halford, Dickinson & Mercury, Vik's closer-to-home tastes indulge the likes of vocalists that arose from Southern California's 80's metal explosion namely Keith, Pearcy and Neil. When asked about Def Lep, he comments: "They are truly a special band - they managed to be solely responsible for bridging the gap between the harder rockin' bands of the late 70's and the metal infiltration of the mid-80's. That, along with their perseverance in dealing with all that has come their way. You have to appreciate that and learn something from it as well." |
